Analyze Load Details

Explanation

This activity is used to study the workload of a certain resource, work center, production line, department or labor class during a specified time range. Depending on which window you use, the workload is grouped in different ways like per workday, order, operation, labor class or work center.

Prerequisites

To view load, a load should exist either from scheduled shop orders or from CRP calculations within the specified time range. To view the load via anticipated orders like shop order requisitions and unreleased DOP, the capacity requirements planning calculation must have been performed.

Procedure

To analyze load details using the data view:  

  1. Open the Machine Load per Work Center, Labor Load per Labor Class, Machine Load Details, Labor Load Details, Operations per Work Center, Orders per Work Day, Orders per Work Center or Employee Capacity Details window.
  2. Query for the load to be analyzed.

To analyze load details using the visualization view:

  1. Open a visualizer enabled window and query for the data to be analyzed.
  2. If the Data View is displayed, click Visualization View on the title bar.
  3. Click the Configure Visualizations icon on the topmost right hand corner. The Visualization Settings dialog box is opened.
  4. Drag charts from Available Charts to Chart Layout from the charts listed under Labor Availability or Machine Availability.
  5. Click OK. The charts are displayed and can be analyzed as required.
  6. If you want to view the other related windows in order to analyze load details, right-click on the bar/segment and then click the required option.
