Complete Resource Breaks

Explanation

This activity is used to complete a resource break which is in Scheduled state. The status of the break changes to Finished. A resource break in Finished state has no effect on the shop order schedule. Resource breaks are taken into account only when the orders are scheduled using Constraint Based Scheduling (CBS), not when using the Shop Order Infinite Scheduler.

Prerequisites

A resource break having Scheduled status must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• the status of the resource break changes from Scheduled to Finished.
• if the break belongs to a CBS site, it will be removed from the Scheduling Server.
• if the break belongs to an Advanced Planning Board (APB) site, it will not be loaded when the APB is used.
• the capacity which was booked by the resource break becomes available for scheduling other objects through the APB or CBS.

Procedure

1. Populate the window.
2. Select the resource break(s) you want to complete.
3. Right-click and then click Complete. The status of the selected break(s) changes to Finished.
