Calculate Employee Capacity for Manufacturing

Explanation

This activity is used to calculate the capacity for the employees connected to labor classes on a site. The calculation can also include a capacity calculation for manufacturing competencies. You can perform the calculation for one site at a time or for all the sites to which you have access. You can also schedule this as a scheduled task. The calculation is done from the date of initiation to the date specified in the Calculation to Date field. When there is no date specified in the Calculation to Date field, the last date that an operation is scheduled with a labor requirement is considered as the calculation to date.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, you will need to have at least one employee connected to a labor class on the site and that employee needs to be available for at least one day in the time interval.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the available and theoretical man hours for labor class and each competency profile stored in the database for each day is updated. The stored data will be later used to generate the Employee Competency Demand Graph window as well as the available and theoretical capacity for manufacturing labor class.
