Complete Kanban Distribution Order

Explanation

Use this activity to complete a distribution order that the system created as a result of an electronic request for replenishment. The Kanban module creates a distribution order if an electronic replenishment request was created for a circuit replenished from an external site. This activity closes the replenishment request and updates the inventory status for the Kanban location to reflect the transfer of inventory.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that electronic replenishment using distribution order be enabled for the Kanban circuit.

System Effects

As a result of this activity the system completes a distribution order, transferring inventory to the requesting Kanban location.

Procedure

From the Distribution Order you process both the Customer Order and the Purchase Order through reservation, picking, delivery and receipt. The processing of the Customer Order can be automated in different stages depending on the setup of the order type. The receipt of the Purchase Order may also be automated if you have selected the Automatic Receipt check box on the Distribution Order.
