Copy Alternates to Templates

Explanation

This activity is used to copy template alternate definitions between serial structure templates. The purpose of this activity is to ease the process for you, when a template alternate definition is used across different serial structure templates.

Prerequisites

Template alternates must be defined for the template to copy from.

The template alternate will be available in several templates.

Procedure

1. Open the Template Alternates window, and query (F3) for your template part.
2. Select the row, right-click, and then click Copy to Template. The Copy Template Alternate dialog box opens.
3. Select the Copy to Template check box, for the templates to which the alternate is to be copied. If you want to copy the template alternate to all the templates (displayed in this dialog box), click Select All.
4. Click OK.
