Copy information from another Part Revision
Explanation
This activity is used to copy certain information from one part revision to
another. Maintenance codes, condition limits as well as condition limit
definitions, sign off requirements defined for the
condition limits and maintenance codes, instructions (i.e., operations with belonging materials, tools and
facilities, zones and access panels etc.), subtasks (also with belonging detail
data as materials, tools and facilities, zones and access panels etc.) and connected documents can be copied using the
Copy from another Revision
assistant. You can also choose to copy the
function breakdown associated with the instruction and/or
subtask. Note: The part
revision to which information is to be copied can be of a different part number.
Ideally, this activity can be performed when the part revisions are similar
and maintenance requirements are for the most part the same. This activity is also useful when you create a new part revision and make minute
changes to the maintenance plans. The copy function is selective and only copies
the operations that meet the requirements (template structure, function
structure) for the part to which information is to be copied.
Prerequisites
- Serial part revisions must exist.
- The information to be copied (maintenance
codes, instructions, condition limits, sign off
requirements defined for the maintenance codes and condition limits, subtasks etc.) must be defined on the part
revision you choose to copy from.
- If the function structure of an instruction and/or
subtask is to
be copied, a product and model must be assigned to a vehicle part.
System Effects
Depending on your selection, maintenance codes,
instructions, subtasks, condition limits, sign off
requirements defined for the maintenance codes and condition limits and/or connected documents are copied to the serial part revision.
