Connect Level 0 Part to MS Set

Explanation

This activity is used to connect a master schedule level 0 part to a master scheduling set and to enter data for cost and on-hand quantity information for all Level 0 part families. Master schedule set 1 is used for the actual master schedule; others can be used for various forecasts and scenarios. The List of Values for master schedule sets shows only those master schedule sets for which forecasts have been entered for the site, and part numbers entered by the user.

Procedure

  1. Open the MS Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Family Set Data tab.
  3. Create a new record.
  4. Specify the site for which you want to connect the part, in the Site field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
  5. Specify the part family you want to connect to a master schedule set in the Part No field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value. The part description will automatically fill in.
  6. Specify which master schedule set you want to connect the selected part, in the Master Schedule Set field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
  7. If the part is project connected, enter a value in the PNG field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
  8. Save the changes.
