Create Cash Transactions using Bank Statement Information
Explanation
Using this activity, you can create cash transactions in the system based on
the information on the bank statement. These information can be the cash
account, currency code, currency rate, amount, bank transaction code, customer
Id or supplier Id etc., Information such as customer Id or supplier Id will be transferred
even if the identity specified does not exist in the system.
You can create transactions of type customer payments, supplier payments,
direct cash payments and bank fee payments. Once you create the transaction, to
match it with a bank statement transaction the information in the
Automatic Transaction Matching window should be refreshed.
Prerequisites
Bank statement transactions should exist.
System Effects
A cash transaction of the type you selected will be created in the system
using the information in the bank statement transaction.

Procedure
- Open the Automatic Transaction Matching dialog box from the IFS
Applications Navigator.
- Enter the cash account and reconciliation date. Payment institute and
period will be fetched by the system.
- Click OK. The
Automatic Transaction Matching
window will
display all transactions that have not been matched/finally matched up until
the reconciliation date. You will find cashbook transactions on the upper
section and the bank statement transactions on the lower section of the
table.
- Select a bank statement transaction from the bottom table, right-click,
and select Create Transaction.
- In the
Transaction Type dialog box which opens, select the
type of transaction you want to create. Click OK to confirm the
selection.
- The Mixed Payment window will be displayed. Enter the
transaction information in the window as required and save the information.
