Define Vehicle Models
Explanation
This activity is used to enter vehicle requirements for the operational plan.
Vehicle requirements are entered as items from which operational tasks will be
generated. For each item you need to specify the number of vehicles required,
the type of vehicle for which the plan is valid (based on the product and model
specified), and the relevant planning dates. Further, you have the option of
connecting additional equipment to an item if this equipment is needed for the
plan.
At least one item must be specified on an operational plan before the plan
can be completed. When the plan is completed, i.e., the Plan Complete
check box is selected for the record, it will not be possible to enter, update
or delete the operational items. Vehicle and personnel assignment can be done on
the plan once it is completed.
Prerequisites
- A product and model number needs to be defined.
- To use equipment codes they must first be
registered in the basic data.
System Effects
- Vehicle requirements are defined on the operational plan.
- If specified, additional equipment requirements are connected to the
operational plan.
- The operational plan can be completed and vehicle and personnel assigned
to the generated operational events.
