Report Condition Measurement
Explanation
This activity is used to manually record condition
measurements for a serial. If the registered condition limits are superseded by
a measurement, you will initially receive a warning (yellow card) and then a danger signal
(red card). A pending task is created. You are reminded until the task is done.
Then
the status is set back to normal and a new cycle of measurement is started.
Prerequisites
- Condition limits must have been defined. For more information, refer the
activity
Define Condition Limits per Part Revision.
- If measurements are to be reported on a flight log
for a vehicle or a serial in its structure, the flight log must be in the
Open status.
System Effects
- When recording the condition measurement, a maintenance
task is generated if the measured value exceeds the warning or danger
limits.
- A maintenance task is also generated if the change from the last
measurement is greater than the given critical change for
the condition limit.
