Use this tab to define pricing rules and pricing information for the available characteristics and options of configured sales parts. A configuration price list can be defined only for a part based configurable sales price list line. This is because the configuration price list refers to prices for individual parts, and unit based parts are based and priced per unit and not per part.
Under this tab, on the upper table, you can enter any particular characteristics available from the List of Values. On the lower table you can define any optional values available on the List of Values. You can define amounts to be offset per characteristic (in the upper table), as well as per options (in the lower table). For example, optional values such as Classic, Elegant and Standard can be available for a characteristic such as a handle. These options are available for use at the customer order level and will not get printed on the sales price list.
If the company tax regime is VAT and the Use Price Incl Tax check box is selected on the Sales Price List/General tab, it is possible to enter values in the Amount Offset Incl Tax field and the amount offset value is calculated using the tax code used for the part-based price list line.
When a customer order is entered, the configuration price list is referred to, and the customer specific variations are specified on the order and sent for manufacturing. Therefore these parts are not available for immediate purchase and have to be ordered well in advance.
