Assigned Employees Overview

Explanation

This activity is used to display employees assigned to the currently selected position, with an option to view employees from subordinate positions as well.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, a graphical position structure has to be registered in the system.

Procedure

1. Open the Graphical Position Structure Window.
2. Search or populate to find the relevant position structure.
3. Navigate to the Assigned Employees tab.
4. Select the position you want to view from the graphical object structure and inspect the data.

• The tab displays data valid on the date entered in the Date field. Only assignments valid on that date are displayed. To toggle this setting on and off, right-click anywhere in the table and click Display only valid rows.
• If the Selected option is active, only employees assigned to the currently selected position are displayed.
• If the Including Subordinates option is active, employees from the currently selected position and its subordinates will be displayed. You can inspect what positions are visible by expanding subordinates of the selected position in the graphical position structure (graphical object structure).
• The Company ID field displays the identifier of a company to which an employee belongs. In case of a company structure, only one company ID will be displayed in every field. In a matrix structures, this field can display IDs of companies connected to the structure.
• The Employee ID field displays the employee identifier. In matrix structures, it can display IDs from all connected companies. As Employee ID is unique for each company, there is a possibility of the same ID appearing multiple times.
• The Organization Unit Code field displays the ID of an organization unit to which the employee is assigned.
• The Organization Name column displays names of organization units.
• The Position Title field displays the name of the position. If the Including Subordinates option is active, this field allows to identify positions to which employees are assigned.
• The Primary Assignment field indicates if a position assignment is the primary one. There can be only one primary position for every employee.
• The Assignment Type field displays the type of an organization assignment.
• The Valid To and  Valid From fields indicate how long an employee will be assigned to the position.
• The Business Unit Assignment field indicates if the position holder is assigned to a matrix organization unit.
• The Access Role field displays the access role of an employee in the organization unit he is assigned to.
