Procedure

  1. Open the Production Unit window for the production unit you want.
  2. Click Report Stop (found in the Actions area) to open the Stop Event window. If you already have this window open, click Create New on the toolbar to create a new stop event.
Note: You can also open the Stop Event window by selecting the right mouse button option View Event for an existing stop event record in the Production Unit window.
  3. In the Stop Event Type list, select the required stop event type (connected to the system stop event type you want).
  4. Enter the object for which the stop event is to be created in the Object ID field. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
  5. The fields in the Planned Stop area will only be available for editing when the selected stop event type is connected to the system stop event type Planned Stop. If it is to be a planned stop, enter values in the From and To fields for the period of time the stop is to occur.
  6. If the selected stop event holds connections to different stop events, this information will be shown in the Connected Events field. Following is a description of the options which are available when you right-click on this field:
  1. Enter values in the From and To fields for the period of time the stop event was valid. By default, the system date/time will be displayed in the fields. Note however that these values can be manually changed if necessary.
The Duration field shows the time (in minutes) between the values in the From and To fields.
  2. If there is any time that was wasted, i.e., from start-up to full-speed, enter the value in the Startup Time field.
The Duration field (to the right of the Startup Time field) shows the time (in minutes) between the values in the Startup Time and To fields.
  3. Enter relevant information for the stop event in the Note field.
  4. Enter the ID of the user who registered the stop event in the Reported By field. When a value is entered in this field, the given user's default maintenance organization will be populated in the Maintenance Organization field. Note: You can change the default value in the Maintenance Organization field if necessary.
  5. Enter the cause for the stop in the Loss Cause field. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
  6. You can also enter additional information, e.g., a unique ID, in the Tracking ID field. This is helpful when you want to easily identify and keep track of a particular stop event.
  7. If any action has been carried out for the stop event enter the value in the Action field. Use the List of Values to select the appropriate action. Use the Note field to enter a more detailed description of the performed action.
  8. Enter the user ID of the person responsible for performing the given action in the Reported By field.
  9. Verify the information you have entered and then click Save and Exit.
