View APQ

Explanation

Use this activity to view information on the calculated APQ values. These values can be viewed using one of the following options:

1. The APQ chart can be used to view a graphical illustration of the production unit's APQ figure. This APQ figure can be viewed for a specific time period. There is also a trend line for this APQ figure in the graph.

2. The APQ breakdown graph can be used to view a breakdown of the calculated APQ figure. The availability (A), performance (P), and quality (Q) will be displayed as separate figures. This graph contains bars with several APQ figures separated into three main bars for A, P, and Q.

Note: All calculations made here exclude external events and are built on goal production rates.

Prerequisites

• The production unit must have been defined in the Define Production Units window (Setup OEE).
• The production unit needs to be up-and-running during the given time period.
• Events must have been reported for the production unit during the time period specified for follow up.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the figures for Availability (A), Performance (P) and Quality (Q) can be evaluated separately or together as an APQ figure.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to view APQ values using the APQ Chart tab:

1. Select the required production unit from the Overall Equipment Effectiveness navigator. The Production Unit window opens with information for the selected production unit.
2. Click the APQ Chart tab.
3. Right-click on the graph, and then click the relevant option, e.g., Last 7 days, for the time period wanted to follow up.
4. To Zoom In, click the graph and hold down the left mouse button while drawing a square around the section that is to be enlarged. Once the square is drawn release the left mouse button. A yellow button Click to Zoom will now appear. Click this button to change the zoom level.
5. To Zoom Out, right-click on the graph, and then click Zoom Back to zoom out one level OR right-click and click Full View to display the original graph size.
6. If you want to view an analysis of the current APQ data, right-click on the graph, and then click Go to Analysis.
7. If you want to copy the graph to the clipboard, right-click on the graph, and then click Copy to Clipboard.
8. You can also choose to display only a particular section of the graph, if necessary. To do so, right-click on the graph, and then click Preview Pane. The Preview Pane dialog box opens. Adjust the red square to show the section you want displayed.

1. Select the required production unit from the Overall Equipment Effectiveness navigator. The Production Unit window opens with information for the selected production unit.
2. Click the APQ Breakdown tab.
3. Right-click on this graph, and then click the relevant option, e.g., Last 7 days, for the time period wanted to follow up.
4. If you want to view an analysis of the current APQ data, right-click on the graph, and then click Go to Analysis.
