Use this activity to enter criteria required for calendar-based generation of PM actions that will occur at regular intervals. When you create a PM Plan, you have several alternatives to specify start date, interval, and unit of measure.
The Calendar ID field is optional and can be used to avoid that PM lines are
created during certain calendar periods, e.g. according to seasonal patterns.
This is for example useful to make sure no PM lines are created during a
vacation period if production stand still during that period. This calendar can
be used in conjunction with the maintenance organization calendar which makes
sure the PM lines are created on working days. But while the calendar of the
maintenance organization will move lines outside working time forward to next
coming working day , this calendar will make sure such lines are omitted from
the maintenance plan."
Example:
Suppose we have a Maintenance Calendar which only has work days Monday-Friday.
This calendar is connected to the maintenance organization entered on the PM.
You create a maintenance plan beginning at 2015-08-15 and which is to take place
every third month. The maintenance plan will look like the following:
2015-08-17
2015-11-16
2016-02-15
2016-05-16
2016-08-15
2016-11-15
Please notice that the PM’s planned for 2015-08-15 (Saturday), 2011-11-15
(Sunday) and 2016.05-15 (Sunday) are moved forward to the next coming work day.
However, if we create a new similar separate PM action but add the very same
calendar to the Calendar ID field of the Separate PM Action form,
following maintenance plan will be created:
2016-02-15
2016-08-15
2016-11-15
Please note that all the planned PM’s that were moved forward to next coming
work day are now instead omitted from the maintenance plan.
As a result of this activity, a calendar PM Plan for a specified criteria will be created in the Maintenance Plan tab.
