Generate DOP Alarms

Explanation

Use this activity to generate alarms manually for an entire DOP structure or for an entire site. You can schedule the generating of alarms to take place regularly. 

Alarms are generated automatically when date and quantity mismatches occur between the demand and supply within a DOP structure (i.e. DOP Header and DOP Order or DOP Order and corresponding pegged supply orders).

When the planned ship date of a customer order line supplied by a DOP header is changed, alarms are generated when:

Note: No alarms are generated for DOP headers with the Created status. 

Prerequisites

This activity requires that  DOP orders must have reached the Released status.

As a result of this activity, alarms are generated for the selected choice.

Procedure

You can generate alarms for a single user site, all the user sites or for a particular DOP structure either by direct execution (Procedure A) or by scheduling a task to run as a background job (Procedure B). 

Procedure A:

To generate alarms for a site:

  1. Open the Generate DOP Alarms window.  
  2. Select the site in the Site field. Use the List to select from the available sites.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Alternatively, you can generate alarms for all the sites by simply selecting the All Sites check box.

To generate alarms for a structure:

  1. Open the Generate DOP Alarms window.
  2. Select the DOP ID of the structure for which to want to generate the alarm. Use the List to select an available DOP ID. 
  3. Click OK

Procedure B:

Click Schedule to open the New Database Task Schedule window. Set the scheduling parameters as desired and save. Scheduled tasks can be seen in Scheduled Database Tasks window
