Move DOP Order

Explanation

This activity is used to move some or all of the DOP Order components and their structures from a specific parent DOP Order to a new parent DOP Order.

Note: You may not move a DOP structure to a structure with another DOP ID or to a DOP order having a DOP order part or higher-level DOP order parts that are included in the DOP structure being moved.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that:

• The new parent DOP Order has no pegged orders.
• Neither the old parent DOP Order nor the new one may have reached the Released state.
• The attribute Create Pegged for the new parent DOP order must be set to Pegged Orders. The moved DOP Order may not have any reported quantity completed yet. You cannot move DOP Orders to a serial-effective parent DOP Order having reserved serial numbers.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• Selected structure branch(es) are moved from a specific parent DOP Order to a new parent DOP Order.
• The Structure Changed checkbox is selected for both the old and the new parent DOP Orders and DOP Header.

Procedure

Move all component DOP Orders:

1. In either the DOP Header/Structure or the DOP Order window, select the DOP Order from which to move all structure branches.
2. Right-click and point to Change DOP Structure and then click Move Branch.
3. In the Move DOP Structure dialog box, enter the DOP Order ID for the new parent DOP Order and the part number to be used in the new structure. Use the List of Values to select from available DOP Orders.
4. Click OK.

Move specific component DOP Orders:

1. In either the DOP Header/Structure or the DOP Order window, select the DOP Order from which to move one or several structure branches.
2. In the table in DOP Header/Structure or DOP Order/Components, select the component DOP Orders to move. Right-click and then click Move Specific Branch(es).
3. In the Create DOP Structure/Routings dialog box, enter the DOP Order ID for the new parent DOP Order and the part number to be used in the new structure. Use the List of Values to select from available DOP Orders.
4. Click OK.

Move by using the drag-and-drop method:

1. Select one or more DOP Orders in the tree structure (DOP Header/Tree Structure or DOP Order/Tree Structure).
2. Drag them to another parent DOP Order by clicking and holding the left mouse button.
3. Drop them by releasing the left mouse button.
4. Click OK.
