Propagate Quantity Downstream
Explanation
This activity is used to propagate quantities downstream in a DOP
structure. The quantities on higher levels in the DOP structure will change with respect
to the quantity on the DOP order on which you perform the command.
Prerequisites
This activity requires that the parent DOP order has not reached
the Released state.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- The quantities on the higher levels
in the DOP structure change, considering the Revised Qty Due, the Qty Per Assembly, the
Component Scrap, and the Shrinkage Factor for the selected DOP Order.
- The Qty Demand field under
Demand
on the
DOP Header/Detail tab is
the same as the Revised Qty Due field on the top DOP Order.
- If serial numbers are reserved for a
parent DOP Order and the quantity decreases, the correct amount of the serial numbers is
unreserved.
- If a discrete unit of measure is used, the Revised Qty Due for the parent DOP
Order is truncated. The revised start date is recalculated for the DOP Orders on
higher levels due to revised due date and lead-time, where the lead-time is depending on
lot size and routing revision and alternative.
