Propagate Quantity Upstream
Explanation
This activity is used to propagate quantities upstream in a DOP
structure. The quantities on lower levels in the DOP structure will change with respect to
the quantity on the DOP order on which you perform the command.
Prerequisites
This activity requires that the DOP Order has components.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- The quantities on the lower levels
in the DOP structure change, considering the Comp Qty Required, the Qty Per Assembly, the
Component Scrap, and the Shrinkage Factor for the selected DOP Order.
- If serial numbers
are reserved for a component DOP Order and the quantity decreases, the correct amount of
the serial numbers is unreserved. If there is an overflow of netted quantity for a DOP
Order after the propagation, this quantity is unnetted.
- The revised start date is
recalculated for the DOP Orders on lower levels due to revised due date and lead-time,
where the lead-time is depending on lot size and routing revision and alternative.
