Run Project MRP for Components

Explanation

This activity is used to run project MRP for project planned master scheduled parts to plan its nonstandard planned component supplies.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, a master schedule part has to be created which is connected to a project and master scheduling has to be performed for the part.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, selective project MRP will be performed and supplies will be planned for the components of the master scheduled part.

Run Project MRP for Components

Procedure

  1. Open the MS Level 1 Part window.
  2. Query for the record.
  3. Right-click and click Run Project MRP for Components. (This right mouse button option will only be enabled for project master scheduled parts.)
  4. The Run Project MRP for Components dialog box will be opened with part number and site already selected.
  5. Select the date on which you want the project MRP to be executed. The current date is used by default.
  6. If you want to stop the project MRP process when an error occurs, you can select the Stop PMRP on Error check box.
  7. To add one day leadtime back-off to planned receipts, select the Add 1 Day Lead Time check box.
  8. To generate project MRP action messages for dependent demands of phantom parts, click the Phantom Part Dependent Demand Message check box.
  9. To start the MRP process immediately after the Project MRP process is finished, click the Start MRP Process Once PMRP is Completed check box 
  10. If you want the project MRP process to create safety stock replenishment orders on the MRP run date, select the Plan Safety Stock Receipt on PMRP Run Date check box. If it is not selected, safety stock replenishment orders will be created on the event date itself.
  11. If the Run Integrated with CRP check box is selected, CRP backward scheduling logic will be used to schedule shop order requisitions.
