Select Netting

Explanation

Use this activity to define that the default value for the DOP order (Netting) should be used. Later, when netting is performed, it is done in the following sequence:

• Excess inventory (inventory with no netting relations within DOP)
• Excess order within the same DOP
• Excess order within a different DOP 

The scope of the netting process can be specified as follows:

• Full Structure - By selecting a DOP header or the top DOP order, you can perform the netting process for the DOP orders of the entire DOP.
• Branch - By selecting an arbitrary DOP order, you can perform the netting process for the selected order and its lower orders.
• Specific Order - For an arbitrary DOP order, you can perform the netting process only for the selected order.

It is possible to perform re-netting when quantity and/or structure is changed after the release or after canceling existing netting relations.

Note: This release also supports a manual netting function that makes it possible to specify the target to be netted.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that part information must have been registered. Demand information must also have been registered.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system sets Netting to the default alternative when DOP orders are created.

Procedure

1. Select the DOP order to change.
2. Click Netting from the Netting list, in the Settings area.
3. Click Save.
