Change Grouping Criteria for Maintenance Order

Explanation

This activity is used to change the grouping ID for a maintenance order when an Execution Logic Structure (ELS) is present. The ELS is created when a maintenance order with the distribution type Execution Logic Structure is set to the Under Preparation status. When the grouping ID is changed, the created ELS will be removed and a new ELS will be created based on the new grouping ID.

Prerequisites

• The distribution type of the maintenance order must be set to Execution Logic Structure.
• The maintenance order must be in the Under Preparation status.

System Effects

• The grouping ID will be changed on the maintenance order.
• The existing ELS will be removed and a new ELS will be created based on the grouping criteria of the new grouping ID.

Procedure

1. Open the Maintenance Order window and query (F3) for the necessary maintenance order.
2. Right-click on the header of the window or on the Order tab, and then click Change Grouping ID. The Change Grouping ID for Maintenance Order dialog box opens.
3. In the To Grouping ID field, enter the new grouping ID. Click List to select a valid value.
4. Click OK.
