Redefine Grouping Criteria

Explanation

This activity is used to change existing grouping criteria. This is useful when you need to start over with the definition of grouping criteria for a grouping ID and product model. When this activity is performed, any execution logic sequencing that has been defined will be deleted and the status of the grouping criteria will be reset to New. In this status it is possible to define or change the grouping criteria as needed.

Prerequisites

• Grouping criteria must have been defined for a grouping ID.
• The grouping ID must be in the Under Preparation status.

System Effects

• The status of the grouping ID is reset to New and grouping criteria can be modified.
• The defined execution logic sequence for the execution logic structure (ELS) template will be deleted.
• All sorting added to the grouping criteria of the template will be deleted.
• Basic data can be retrieved once more based on the new grouping criteria. This is done using the Complete Grouping Criteria menu option.

Procedure

1. Open the Define Execution Logic Structure Template window and search for the necessary grouping ID.
2. Right-click and click Redefine Grouping Criteria.
3. An information message appears requiring approval of the step, click Yes.
