Create Integration Configuration for Basic Data
Explanation
This activity is used to create an integration configuration record for the
basic data integration between IFS Applications and the Primavera
Project Management module (Primavera).
Basic data in IFS/Project are calendars and resources. In order to be able to export or
import projects with basic data to/from Primavera it is necessary to have the
basic data already existing on the receiving side. This can be done by exporting
or importing the basic data separately, or by entering the basic data manually.
Note that while resources can both be exported and imported, calendars can only
be exported. The integration of data between IFS/Project and Primavera is described in
detail in About Integration to Primavera Project Management.
Integration configurations for basic data are created and saved as records in
the Integration Configuration/Basic Data Integration
tab, and can therefore be reused any number of times. A record can be
selected to perform a basic data analysis, or to initiate a basic data export or
import.
Prerequisites
- The Primavera Project Management module should be installed.
- An integration setup record should exist in the
Integration Setup/Integration Database Setup tab.
- If it is required to export calendars, they should be defined in the
Integration Setup/Integration Calendar Setup tab.
- If resources are to be included in the import, a default calendar and a
default cost element must be defined for that resource in the
Integration
Setup/Integration Resource Setup tab.
System Effects
- The integration configuration record is created, ready to be used
for exports or imports of basic data.

Procedure
- Open the Integration Configuration
window and click on the Basic Data Integration tab.
- Create a new
integration configuration record.
- Enter a value in the Integration ID field.
- Select Export or Import in the Direction field.
- Optionally you can do one or more of the following:
- Enter a calendar in the Calendar field if you want to export a single calendar.
- Enter the resource company that has the resources that are to be
exported/imported in the Resource Company field if you want to
export/import resources.
- Enter a Resource
Company and select the Resource Calendar checkbox if you wish to
export resources and their related resource
calendars.
- Select a valid value in the Setup ID field which is the identity of the
setup used to access Primavera.
- Select a value in the Owner ID field.
- Optionally, enter a note.
- Save the record.
