Insert Project Milestones

Explanation

Project milestones specify one or several dates for planned revenues in the project. Examples of project milestones are: first payment when the specification is finished, next payment when the prototype is finished, and final payment when the product is delivered. We then have the following project milestones defining the milestone identification, milestone date, description, and planned revenue:

Define Project Milestones (Step 7 in the Create New Project Assistant)

Procedure

  1. Create a new milestone in the table.
  2. Enter a milestone ID, milestone date, description, and planned revenue.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each milestone to be registered.
  4. Save the project milestones.

From the Create New Project Assistant:

  1. Open Project Navigator, Projects or Project.
  2. Click the right mouse button menu option Create New Project, and fill in the required information. In the last step of the assistant you will be able to define any milestones if required for the new project.
  3. Click Finish once you have filled in all the required the information.
