Project Reporting for Contractors

It is a common practice in companies that use projects to hire contractors from employment agencies. A contractor's employment in the project company is temporary and they will work on some of the activities in the project.

Request Work from Contractors

The project reporting for contractors functionality makes it possible for project managers to request for work from contractors. It is possible to use non-inventory purchase parts and no-parts for this purpose. The employees are registered as contractors and the work is requested using a purchase order. Once the contractor is connected to the purchase order, work can be requested using it.

Project Reporting by Contractors

Once the contractors start work, they will report time on the project activities using the project and time reporting windows. The project manager of the company is able to track and approve the reported time of the work of a contractor.

Any personal or non-personal cost related to contractors will be reported according to the normal cost reporting settings in the project company.

Invoicing Advice

An invoicing advice contains the approved project time transactions of the contractor. A project manager creates an invoicing advice and sends it to the employment agency. The employment agency will use it as a basis for the invoice that they send back to the project company for the work of their employees.

It is possible to create more than one revision of an invoicing advice in order to handle any disputes etc. However there can only be one approved revision of an invoicing advice.

Match Supplier Invoices with Project Transactions

The employment agency or the supplier can send the supplier invoices periodically to the project company. The supplier can include the invoicing advice and purchase parts as references in the invoice. It is possible to filter and match project transactions based on this information.

In posting proposals companies it is possible to automatically match project transactions with the invoice using the invoicing advice ID as a reference.
