Use this tab window to define purchase part characteristics that may be used to search the database for similar parts. Characteristic templates are created in the IFS/General Inventory and Distribution module. In fact, each characteristic template is a collection of characteristic codes. Purchase parts can have variable characteristic codes and discrete characteristic codes connected to them. Also templates which have variable characteristic codes and/or discrete characteristic codes can be connected to purchase parts.
