Register Miscellaneous Parts

Explanation

Use this activity to register miscellaneous parts for the repair/overhaul object (below called MRO Object). Miscellaneous parts are for example packaging material, accessories, tools etc. that should not be received into inventory. The miscellaneous parts are registered to support the process of shipping the same parts back again.

Prerequisites

• An MRO Object Receive Order must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the miscellaneous parts are stored in the system and connected to the receive purchase order, work order and customer order. The miscellaneous parts are printed in an appendix to the arrival report, the pick list and the delivery note to simplify the handling in the material flow.

Procedure

1. In the MRO Object Receive Order window, query for the order previously created.
2. In the lower part of the window, create a new line.
3. Enter a miscellaneous part description, quantity received, unit of measure and whether the parts should be shipped back to the customer or not.
4. Optionally, enter aqcuisition value and currency. You can also use notes and/or document texts.
5. Save the line.
