Register Rental Event

Explanation

This activity is used to register rental events. During a rental period, there may be various requirements to log events against a rental line. This could be to change the mode and/or for charging, or to simply log a note related to the rental.

Prerequisites

Rental has to have been started for a rental line before a rental event can be entered.

System Effects

By entering a rental event, the details of the event will be stored in the Rental Events History. In case the event includes changing the mode and/or price factor this will be considered when generating rental transactions, either for newly created transactions, or (if transactions had already been generated for the time period the event refers to), for any adjustment transactions created.

Procedure

Open the Manage Rentals window.
Query for the rental for which en event needs to be registered, in the Rental No field.
Select the record, right-click and click Create Manual Event.
Enter the event date and time that the event should be valid from, in the respective fields.
Optionally select an event end date and event end time, which will revert any changed mode and price factor to the original value at this date/time. (This is typically used for planned stand-downs).
Optionally enter a note to be saved in the event history.
In the table part of the dialog box, adjust the values in the Mode and Price Factor fields.
Click OK.
