Enter Pack Size Price List Charges

Explanation

This activity is used to enter charges for different input UoMs (Unit of Measures) connected to the pack size charge price list. You can specify a charge cost and a charge amount or a charge percentage to each input UoM. The entered charges will be valid for a single unit. A charge can be defined as a positive (+) or as a negative (-) value. However the charge cost must be entered as zero for all minus charges.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• A pack size charge price list header should exist.
• The charges that are to be connected to a pack size charge price list, should be specified in the Sales Charge Type window, and the charge should have the Unit Charge check box selected. If the charge category is set to Pack Size, the Unit Charge check box gets selected automatically. 

System Effects

• A charge cost and a charge amount or a charge percentage will be available for each of the Input UoM specified in the Pack Size Charge Price List/Charges tab. 
• The discount, the extra charge percentage and the fixed charge will be defined.
• If the company tax regime is VAT, the price and tax calculations are controlled by the setting on the Use Price Incl Tax check box. The default setting of the check box is retrieved from the site connected to the pack size charge price list header.

Procedure

1. Open the Pack Size Charge Price List window and query for the required pack size charge price list.
2. Click the Charges tab and then click New.
3. Enter manually or select from the List of Values an input UoM group.
4. Select an input UoM belonging to the selected input UoM group.
5. Enter a required charge cost.  
6. Enter an appropriate charge amount or a charge percentage.
7. Repeat steps 2-6 to enter charges for required input UoMs.
8. Save when completed.

Note: If the Use Price Incl Tax check box is selected in the pack size charge price list header, the values on the Charge Price and Fixed Charge fields represent the charge price including tax and the fixed charge including tax respectively.
