Copy Sales Quotation

Explanation

This activity is used to copy sales quotations. You can copy an existing sales quotation instead of entering a new one by right-clicking and clicking Copy Quotation in the sales quotation header. A dialog box is opened when selecting this operation. Fill in the order number. Optionally, you can alter the dates and select what tabs of the quotation needs to be copied. The dates of the source quotation will be automatically loaded to the dialog box unless they are not past dates.

You can also select if the prices and discounts of the source quotation needs to be copied or not.

You can copy a header or an entire sales quotation. Use the query function to view the newly copied sales quotation.

Prerequisites

A sales quotation must have been entered and saved.

System Effects

A new sales quotation is created based on the values and parameters that were entered in the Copy Sales Quotation dialog box.
The order header and the lines will be created in Planned status.
The data that will be set automatically during the processing of the quotation will not be copied.

Procedure

Query for the sales quotation that you want to copy. Right-click and click Copy Quotation on the selected sales quotation. The Copy Sales Quotation dialog box opens up.
In the Quotation No field, enter the quotation number on the new sales quotation.
Optionally, you can enter dates in the date fields if you want to have different dates for the new sales quotation.
In the Copy Options area, select any of the tabs if you want them to be copied from the source quotation.
Select the Prices and Discounts check boxes if you want them to be copied from the source quotation.
Click OK to confirm. The dialog box closes and a message will appear asking you if you want to view the newly created sales quotation.
Click Yes and the newly created sales quotation will be loaded.
