Enter Reason for Won Quotation Line

Explanation

This activity is used to record the reason for winning the quotation. When the customer responds to your quotation positively on one or several lines, you will note the sales quotation as won. This can be done by right-clicking and clicking Won Quotation on the respective line or lines which opens the Quotation Won dialog box. You can open it from either the Sales Quotation/Quotation Lines window or the Sales Quotation Lines window. In this dialog box, you can enter the reason for winning the quotation.

The status of the sales quotation header will remain in Released status, and all quotation lines without a won/lost reason will receive the same reason for win and will be set to Won status. Note that only released, or possibly revised, lines can be set to Won.

Prerequisites

The quotation header must have been entered, saved and released before you can set the status to Won.

System Effects

The status of the sales quotation line is set to Won and will receive the information for win. There is no change of the status on the quotation header.

If the sales quotation is originated from a business opportunity, then the business opportunity line also will be set to Won status and lines will receive the same reason for winning.
