Add Tasks to Maintenance Order

Explanation

This activity is used to add tasks to a maintenance order. This is useful during the planning stage of the visit, where the maintenance order (work package) is created and the scope of the visit defined. During this stage, the maintenance order can be updated, e.g., tasks added, as the needs and requirements of the maintenance visit are firmed up and established.

At creation, the task is set to the New status. This status is used to represent a pending task that is not yet planned to be executed. When the task is added to a maintenance order, the status of the task will be changed to Planned in Scope. The Planned in Scope status is used to indicate that the task has been planned on the maintenance order, but a work order has not yet been created.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, a maintenance order in the Initial Scope Definition status must exist. Pending tasks must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, tasks will be assigned to the maintenance order. The maintenance order can be set to the Under Preparation status.
