Preliminary Shipment

Explanation

This activity is used to transfer a shipment in the Complete status back to the Preliminary status. Changes to the shipment and handling unit structure cannot be performed if the shipment is in the Complete status. Therefore, if you want to make any necessary changes to the shipment, you must first reverse the shipment from the Complete status to the Preliminary status. This can be done per shipment or for all shipments connected to a consolidated shipment. A consolidated shipment is defined as one departure of several shipments from the specified site, to all the delivery addresses of the connected shipments. When executed from the consolidated shipment all connected shipments will be transferred back to being preliminary.

Prerequisites

The shipment must be in the Complete status.

System Effects

The shipment will assume the Preliminary status.
