Add Project to Sub Contract

Explanation

One or more projects can be used to execute/perform a sub contract and so it is possible to enter several projects on a contract. If a project is added to an item directly, it is required to specify an activity for it. However, only one activity can be defined as the default activity for a sub contract. This default activity will be used to report cost from all the items that have not been connected to an activity.

Procedure

  1. Open the Sub Contract window and query (F3) for the necessary sub contract.
  2. Click the Project tab and create a new record (F5).
  3. In the Project ID field, enter the project. Use the List of Values to select from all existing projects in IFS/Project that belong to the same company as the sub contract (provided that you have access to these projects). If required, enter an activity for the project and any relevant notes.
  4. Alternatively, you can directly add a project in Project ID field in the Sub Contract/Lines/Items/Items tab, although here it will be compulsory add the activity as well. The project and activity will be updated in the Projects tab.
  5. Save the information (F12).
