Set Invitation to Tender Baseline

Explanation

This activity is used to set the invitation to tender baseline. Once a Request For Quotation (RFQ) for a sub contract is ready for submission, the invitation to tender baseline should be set. This is to ensure that we keep track of all required details on the submitted sub contract. It will later be possible to compare the invitation to tender baseline with both the contract baseline and the current revision of the sub contract.

Once the invitation to tender baseline is set, the active revision will be frozen and changes to this revision will no longer be allowed.

Prerequisites

• A sub contract with lines and items must exist.
• The sub contract should be in any of the following statuses: Released, Submitted or Awarded.
• An active sub contract revision must exist.

System Effects

• The active revision is set as the baseline and frozen (if not already frozen).
• The Invitation Baseline check box is selected in the General tab.

Procedure

1. Open the Sub Contract window or the Sub Contracts window.
2. Query (F3) for the necessary sub contract.
3. Right-click and then click Set Invitation Baseline.
4. A message requiring approval of the step appears, click Yes.
