Using Distribution Groups

Explanation

The Distribution Groups can be used when ordering reports to distribute the report to a group of users. All available Distribution Groups are displayed in a tree structure. When a group is selected the properties of that group is displayed to the right. General information about the distribution group is shown at the top of the right part of the page. The current members of the group are shown below the general information.

Prerequisites

You will only be able to manage Distribution Groups if you are authorized to do so.

Procedure

Adding/Removing Distribution groups

Select the root node of the distribution groups tree. Right-click and select Add new distribution Group from the context menu. The dialog below is displayed:

Specify the Access Protection.

Access protection controls the distribution of reports. Depending on the access protection level the actions the current user can take as well as the information displayed to him will differ, the following options are available:

For all groups the access protection and the description etc can be changed only by the group owner.

Click OK to add the group. You are set as the owner of this group.

Adding/Removing members to distribution group

There are two different options to add members to the group:
