Explanation

The option to send information to colleagues is available in all IFS Application pages, this is a quick and easy method to share information with other users. The messages includes links to one or several objects in IFS Applications.

There are two send options.

Procedure

Open an IFS Applications page and populate with the object(s) you want to send. Right-mouse click to open the context menu and select Send To/Send to Colleague or Send To/Mail Recipient as Link. Note that if you are working in a table/overview page, highlight the object(s) you want to send before selecting the option.

Send to Colleague

Send to Colleague will create a task in the receivers task list. The task will contain a link to the object/objects you have selected. A dialog is displayed where you specify receiver and a message.

Specify the following in the dialog:

Click on Send button to send the task.

Mail Recipient as Link

Mail Recipient as Link will open your default email application. There will be a link in the email which links to the object(s) you have selected. When the receiver clicks on the link it will open IFS Applications and the page with the objects are displayed. If the receiver does not have permission to view the objects he/she will get an error message explaining this. Note: Mail Recipient as Link functionality can only be used in ClickOnce deployment and hence the option is only enabled when the application is using ClickOnce deployment.
