Deferral Definition

[About Serial Part Revisions] [About Maintenance Related Requirements and Information] [About Fault Deferral Rules] [To Manage Maintenance Program]

Usage

Use this window to define deferral definitions. When deferring a maintenance item (fault), this can only be done with reference to certain specified lists of defined deferrals.

There are two types of deferrals: Simple and Complex. The simple deferral definition has no maximum delay defined and can be used for all part revisions and functions. The maximum deferral delay is then specified for each fault. The complex deferral definition requires different deferral items to be defined with a maximum delay, and each deferral item must be associated with the part revision for which it is valid by selecting the Requires List Item Definition check box.

For the description of each tab in the window, follow the appropriate link: Categories, Items, Revisions per Item, Functions per Item.
