Use this window or tab to define maintenance groups. Maintenance groups are defined per serial part, where one serial part can have one or more maintenance groups depending on the use of the serial part.
Prior to registering a maintenance group for the serial part in Serial Part/Maint Group, a releasing parameter must have been defined for this serial part. When you create a maintenance group, the triggering parameter for this part is created automatically. You can create, view or change maintenance groups here. The following table shows the valid average value rules:
| Average Value Rule | Description |
| Manual Average Value Rule | A monthly average for the operational value is manually defined in Maintenance Plan/Oper. Param. per Maint Group. |
| Planned Average Value Rule | Monthly planned operational values are retrieved from the operational budget (defined in IFS/VIM Forecasting). |
| Historical Average Value Rule | Average historical operational values for the last twelve months. |
The Establish Maintenance Data for Template Structures/Template Structure/Maint Group sub tab can be used to view, create, or change the maintenance groups that have been previously extended to the serial structure.
Alternatively, you can right-click on the required maintenance group record, and then click Maintenance Plan to view and update relevant maintenance plan details in the Maintenance Plan window.
