Use this window or tab to approve the structure changes which require an approval. When an alternate part or serial is installed in a serial structure and the interchangeability rule of the alternate definition is Qualified Interchangeability, a structure change approval is created. This approval record must be approved before the operational condition of the serial structure can once again be changed to Operational.
If an approval template has been defined on the alternate definition, an approval template will be automatically connected to the approval entry. To approve an approval entry, all steps in the approval routing have to be approved. If an approval routing is not connected to the approval entry, the entry can be approved directly or an approval template can be entered.
All approved entries will be retained in the system until the serial that owns the entry is removed or until you manually remove each entry.
