Usage

Use this step of the Change Maintenance Program On Serial assistant to change the maintenance program and/or maintenance group. Furthermore, you can choose to extend the new maintenance program and/or maintenance group to all serials in the structure. This functionality can be performed for serials that exist in any valid operational status. The maintenance program along with a maintenance group determines the maintenance plan most suitable for the serial. When the maintenance program is changed for a serial, a history record is created automatically in the Part Serial History window.

When you click Next, the following actions will be performed:

• The maintenance program and/or maintenance group of the serial is changed.
• If the Change Maintenance Program for all Serials in the Structure check box is selected the structure is updated with the new maintenance program.
• Similarly, if the Change Maintenance Group for all Serials in the Structure check box is selected, the structure is updated with the new maintenance group. 
• Step 2 of the assistant will be made available, and you can enter maintenance program information for the serials in the structure that lack maintenance programs.
