Use this dialog box to move a serial object from a workshop to inventory. You can use this function for equipment objects that have been moved from the facility to the workshop for repair through a repair work order. You can also use this dialog box to move a serial object from the facility to inventory. When a serial is moved to inventory, an inventory record is created. This dialog box is reached by right-clicking, then clicking Move Serial to Inventory in the Report In Work Order window.
Note: When moving a configurable serial object (i.e. a serial object that is registered with a part that is configurable) to inventory the serial object needs to be completely configured (i.e. have a configuration ID that is in status Completed). If the serial object does not have a configuration then it can be added but only if the work order is a repair work order.
