Define Appointment Slot

Explanation

Appointment slots are connected to appointment availabilities. When a new appointment booking session is created, the appropriate availability is used for the activity and the appointment parameters are copied from the availability and default appointment slot into the booking session. The appointment slot has parameters to define the slot length and slot window (both in hours). The slot length is the time period over which a booking will be requested and the slot window is the time period over which the offer is returned. The slot window is always within slot length.

Typical uses are: Slot Length - 4 hours, no slot window : two 4 hour slots will be used, per working day. The offer will be the same as a slot - so if a slot is 08:00 to 12:00, then the offer will also be for 08:00 to 12:00. Slot Length - 4 hours, 2 hour Slot Window : two 4 hour slots will be used, per working day. The offer will be not the same as a slot - the offer is the best 2 hour window, within the 4 hour slot. If the slot is 08:00 to 12:00, then the offer may be for 09:15 to 11:15
