Define Fixed Resource or Fixed Start on Work Order

Explanation

This activity is used to define a fixed resource and/or fixed start for a service request or work order. This feature is only applicable for work orders that will be transferred to and scheduled by the Scheduling Engine. Note: The maintenance employees in IFS Applications are referred to as resources in Mobile Workforce Management.

The fixed resource is defined by connecting the required employee to the work order or service request and selecting the Fixed Executed By check box. The fixed start is defined by entering a start date and time in the Fixed Start field on the work order or service request. It is also possible to define the fixed resource and fixed start in the iSWB (Scheduling Work Bench), which is the web based user interface for Mobile Workforce Management. If a fixed resource or fixed start is not defined, the work order will be scheduled to the time suggested by the Scheduling Engine.
