Transfer Data from IFS Mobile Work Order to the Server

Explanation

This activity is used to transfer data from the mobile device (running IFS Mobile Work Order) to IFS Applications. Note: Data synchronization is performed automatically when a mobile device is online, based on the frequency you have defined.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, the mobile device running IFS Mobile Work Order should have a connection to the server.

System Effects

• The data is synchronized back to IFS Applications. This can be work orders which you have chosen to return, object measurements that were recorded, time transactions that were created or surveys that were answered.
• If errors occurred during the transfer, these need to be handled. For more information, refer the View and Correct Erroneous Transactions activity.

Window

The mobile device on which IFS Mobile Work Order is installed.

Procedure

1. On the Home Screen, tap Sync.
2. The Sync Monitor screen opens.
3. If the mobile device is connected to a wireless network, you can view information on the data transfer in the Sync Monitor screen.
