View ELS Work Order Structure

Explanation

This activity is used to view the work orders that are created for an Execution Logic Structure (ELS). The ELS represents a grouping of task code contents that can be arranged, grouped and sequenced according to a logical order for performing the work at a maintenance visit.

The work order structure for an ELS is created when a maintenance order with the Execution Logic Structure distribution type is released. It is a structure of work orders containing operations based on predefined grouping criteria. The grouping criteria is defined per product and model, selected on a maintenance order and functions as a template when generating the work scope for the maintenance order.

In the graphical object structure you can view the work orders and belonging operations in the ELS. Each item in the structure is shown as one line of text, which provides the work order number and directive for work orders, and the operation number and description for operations. A plus sign indicates that a work order has an underlying structure. In the graphical object structure you can:

Note that all underlying work orders have to be completed before the parent work order is reported finished.

Prerequisites

To view and ELS work order structure, the maintenance order must have been distributed with the Execution Logic Structure distribution type and a work order structure must have been defined based on the ELS for the maintenance order.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the structure of the work orders in the ELS structure can be viewed and modified.
