Work Order Region

Explanation

This activity is used to define region for a work order. In cases where there is no Location ID associated with the work order address, a one-off work order location will be generated i.e. a so called Work Order Location. This work order location will not have any location regions set.  The value defined for the Work Order Region in Scheduling/ Activity Details sub tab is considered as the region of the Work Order Location. If the location transferred for a work order is a location coming from a location Id then the Region defined in work order/ scheduling/ activity details tab should not be used as the region of the work order.

Prerequisites

• Region ID must have been defined in Location/ Location Basic Data window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a work order region is associated with a work order.

Procedure

1. Open the Prepare Work Order window.
2. Query for an existing work order or create a new work order.
3. Go to the Scheduling tab and click the Activity Details sub tab.
4. Create a new record (F5).
5. In the Region field, enter the Calendar that defines the Availability of the work order. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
6. Save the information (F12).
