Enter Object Information

Explanation

Use this activity to link an equipment object to a service request. If an item class is connected to the equipment object, part or object type, it is retrieved to the service request. An item class can also be entered or modified if necessary.   

Prerequisites

• The object must exist in IFS/Equipment.
• If entering an item class, it must have been defined in the Maintenance Basic Data or Failure Analysis Setup Navigator window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, an equipment object is linked to the service request. You can enter additional information on the service request.

Procedure

1. Open the Service Request window.
2. Enter a value in the Object ID field. Use List of Values to select a suitable value.
3. Optionally, enter or modify the value in the Item Class field. Use List of Values to select a suitable value.
4. Save the record.
