View Connected Document
Explanation
This function is supposed to be used when you want to view a electronically-stored
document that is connected to a Business Object, and only if there is only one document
connected to the Business Object.
To view a document, select the business object in
the business object's
window, find
the document you want using the Documents link in Attachments (in the context pane), click File Operations and
select View Document. The
electronically-stored view copy is then viewed through Adobe Acrobat applications,
through an external viewer, or with the application that created the file. An external
viewer can be configured to work on different file types.
It is not possible to perform any modifications to the
document while viewing it.
Prerequisites
- You must have access to view the document.
- When using view copies, the correct application for viewing
the view copies must be installed.
- When using external viewers, the viewers must be able to
read the required file formats and display the contents correctly.
System Effects
- If only one document is connected to the object,
the View Document menu can be selected and you will
able to view this document.
- If none or more than one document is
connected to the object, the View Document menu cannot be selected.
